Alpacas are herd animals and must be in a minimum same sex herd of 3. They do better as large groups. Alpacas and Llamas are very similar except for size and some subtle differences in features. They can inter breed, both spit. Each Alpaca has a different personality. Alpaca are prey animals and very skittish to be touched on the head unless extremely desensitized. Touching on the neck and upper chest is best tolerated by Alpaca. If you are interested in purchasing a Alpaca we currently only have young males available and we do require you to have at least 3 Alpacas.
